Express Entry is a point based on-line system that Canada introduced in 2015 for immigration to Canada. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) uses the system for the selection of qualified candidates through the following Economic Immigration Programs:
Canada Immigration Express Entry
Federal Skilled Worker (FSW)
Under this program Skilled Workers are selected as permanent residents based on their education, work experience, knowledge of English or/and French, employment in Canada and other criteria.
Federal Skilled Trade Program (FST)
This program is designed for skilled trade workers who want to become permanent residents based on their skilled experience in and out of Canada and their level of English or French.
Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
This program is for skilled, professional, or technical workers who want to become permanent residents based on their work experience in Canada.
Provincial Nominee Programs
Provinces and Territories in Canada have their own immigration programs based on their own needs. Each province and territory have their own streams that target certain groups such as business people, students, skilled or semi-skilled workers. Interested immigrants must have the skills, education, and work experience to contribute to the economy of the province or territory and must want to live there.
